Regester Larkin is an international consultancy specialising in advising senior executives on crisis and reputation management. Conosco were brought in by a newly appointed Director who recognised that Regester Larkin’s existing infrastructure was ageing and in need of review.

The legacy infrastructure had become a complex and unwieldy system which was no longer fit for purpose, restricting the client’s capability to grow as they would like and, over the longer term, threatening to become unreliable. Given Regester Larkin’s specialism, it’s understandable that the company wanted to be confident that their systems were resilient and future proof.

To provide Regester Larkin with the infrastructure and applications they needed to perform at their best, Conosco undertook a full audit ofa the existing systems working with the client to establish their key commercial drivers and make the best choices to ensure any new investment in IT could support their goals.

This process quickly established the need for a rationalisation of the existing physical server platform using virtualisation, along with a full refresh of hardware and operating systems. We migrated all users to Office 365 and Skype for business to enable greater flexibility and make the most from the platforms’ cloud functionality, while the latest next-generation Cisco ASA Firewalls and advanced data backup/recovery solutions were installed to ensure Regester Larkin were protected against any crisis of their own.

Working with the new systems

With our recommendations taken on board and implemented, the Regester Larkin team have been reaping the benefits of their new technology: Skype for Business and Office365 have increased staff’s mobility by enabling to access all of their documents and software and make calls as easily out of the office as they can while sat at their desks.
