Vodafone fail on Snow Leopard
The perfect answer for a laptop’s mobile internet connection (in the UK) was Vodafone’s 3G USB attachment – superfast (over 4 Mb connections in some areas) and easy to use, with good value data plans for the UK and EU.
But it doesn’t work with Apple’s new Snow Leopard upgrade. In fact it crashes the whole Mac when you insert the device, quite a feat with modern Macs. Vodafone say they were wrong footed by the ‘early’ release of Snow Leopard, but developer releases have been available all year and someone even notified them of the problem on their own forums in June.
UPDATE 13 Oct: Vodafone posted the Snow Leopard update for this device today – except it was the wrong version… and they can’t find the right version. Weak.
