After an intensive compliance process, Conosco has recently been recommended for certification to ISO27001. It’s no secret that cybercrime is on the rise, which is why we’re continuing to stay ahead of the curve by ensuring that all internal and client information is secure and effectively managed.
ISO 27001 is the international standard that describes best practice for an information security management system.
Conosco MD Max Mlinaric says: “The process of getting ISO27001 certification is not an easy task – and for good reason! At Conosco, we’re committed to complying with the highest industry standards to ensure that we mitigate the very real threats of cybercrime. Information security is an increasing concern for businesses, so it’s vital that we take every measure possible to keep our clients secure.”
“Since we founded Conosco in 2002, it’s been our aim to continually revolutionise IT and make technology work for our clients’ present and future needs. Engaging in the process to becoming ISO27001 certified shows our dedication to continual improvement as a company and remaining leaders in the IT support industry.”
Hylton Stewart, Conosco’s Senior Cybersecurity & Support Engineer says: “The benefits of achieving this industry leading certification are many and varied, not least among them being an increased focus on information security in general, and the ability to provide our clients with the confidence in our services that they need from us.
The process to get to this point has been a long one. However we have been fortunate that a lot of the internal processes and security considerations that we have implemented are already (at least partly) in place and are a common way we have always done things, both internally and for our clients.”
The next step is to await the official certificate which should be awarded within the next few weeks. Watch this space!
