Conosco delivers the winning treatment for Six Physio’s IT headache

June 29^th 2009: Conosco, the leading outsourced IT services provider for London's growing businesses, has won a contract to provide Six Physio with a fully outsourced IT department.  Six Physio has eight physiotherapy clinics across London and recently made into The Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For for the second year in a row.  The company arranges in excess of 65,000 appointments every year and it relies on IT for everything from booking-in patients, confirming appointments via email and text messages, updating patient records and invoicing.

Conosco won the contract following a three-way competitive tender.  Previously Six Physio had no IT function relying solely on a number of non-technical people to look after various aspects of the company's IT. 

Of the three levels of support Conosco delivers, Six Physio chose Absolute, the most comprehensive IT support package that covers everything from help desk, equipment monitoring from laptops to routers, proactive maintenance, account management and on-site support.  With the Absolute package, Conosco is effectively acting as Six Physio's IT department.  As well as dealing with the day-to-day IT needs of the company, it delivers strategic IT counsel and has developed a roadmap to address Six Physio's future IT needs.

Rupert Crowfoot, Managing Director of Six Physio, explains: "We are totally reliant on our IT.  Before we started work with Conosco, our practice managers were regularly complaining about the IT.  Technology is a great enabler - but it was disabling our business.  When it went wrong, it completely messed up our days and stopped us delivering service to our patients.  The practice managers regularly scored our IT zero out of 10, but now thanks to Conosco it's an eight or nine."

Conosco has already made a number of significant changes to upgrade Six Physio's IT infrastructure from a mash-up of disparate elements to a system that meets and supports the company's technology requirements today - and in the future.  This includes migrating Six Physio from proprietary-based mail servers and file servers to Microsoft Server 2008 and Exchange.
