Internet access
Every business needs internet connectivity, but the
sheer number of options can be confusing. We help
you cut through the jargon and get what you need.
The best connection for you
It seems strange to think that only a few years ago many companies were doing business without using the internet. All that's changed now - and your connection is a vital part of what keeps your company ticking. We can help you get the most cost-effective connections and avoid wasting time managing ISPs. We can also set you up with seamless inter-office connections without the unreliability of traditional VPNs.

Managed internet connections

Most of our internet connections are ‘managed’ through a private network, meaning we centrally monitor the connections and can respond to a problem as soon as it occurs. This will usually be before you’ve even noticed.
Internet connections involve several parties - including your ISP and BT - which gives rise to finger-pointing and delays in finding and fixing faults. Conosco takes responsibility for the management of all parties and our expertise reduces these problems and shields you from them.
We offer a full range of connections from ADSL and SDSL to leased lines and fibre for the ultimate in reliability.
Inter-office connections (MPLS)
More and more companies need to work across multiple offices and even homes, with staff collaborating on the same files and working from home as if they're in the office.
Most companies still use VPNs which are inherently unreliable, or point-to-point leased lines which are very expensive. And in the case of VPNs, they require configuration and management at each end of every connection, and all data travels over the public internet which can be slow.
Conosco runs a private MPLS network, allowing multiple sites to be connected together as if they're on the same network. This offers greater security, faster working and increased reliability - with lower running costs.
Remote working
For working on the road, the Cisco VPN client allows you to 'tunnel' into the MPLS network from anywhere. Read more about mobile working...
Reliability through automatic failover
Most internet connections still rely on British Telecom's hundred-year-old network of copper wires, designed for voice communications, not data. Businesses that rely heavily on internet connectivity have two choices: buy expensive fibre connections or at least run two lines in parallel.
Conosco is experienced in setting up such dual lines to provide automatic failover in the event that one line develops a fault. If your budget allows, we recommend fibre connections.
