Our management team collectively has over 200 years experience across our key disciplines. Find out more about the core team that makes Conosco such a vibrant force in the world of IT support and strategy.


Ben Gladstone

CEO

Ben is a thinker. As a farm labourer in his teens he found out that stacking bales of straw is a really hard way to make a living and promptly disappeared to Trinity College, Cambridge to study Philosophy.

He moved from big ideas to big numbers during a stint with Coopers & Lybrand and went on to co-found an internet consultancy advising large corporates and the European Commission.

He then co-founded Obongo, a Silicon Valley software company, leading the team that invented, patented and developed the technology for managing online passwords and credit card data.

In frustration at the lack of high quality computer support for small businesses, in 2003 he founded Steadytech.

In 2004 Steadytech and MPC London merged to form Conosco and Ben knew he was part of something really good.

Having said that, he wouldn’t mind swapping the IT industry for the life of a wine grower.

Max Mlinaric

Client Services Director

Max is one of those rare people who likes using both sides of his brain. It means he has a refreshing approach to problem-solving – and he has a really good sense of balance.

He started his career as a graphic designer and then crossed to the dark (or is it light?) side to work as a technical engineer.

In 2002 he went on to co-found MPC London, which in 2004 merged with Steadytech to form Conosco

Jeremy Pemberton

Technical Director

Jeremy is our technical chief, and perhaps surprisingly, also a lover of the great outdoors - you'll always find him out playing sports or fishing when he's not running our IT team.

For such an outdoor type, it’s amazing that Jeremy can sit still long enough to be a technical guru, but he seems to manage it.

Having started his career as a systems consultant in the City of London, he worked for an IT consultancy before co-founding MPC London in 2002 with Max.

Roger Thomson

Systems Director

Roger comes from a systems development background with bags of experience in quality control, processes and rigorous thinking.

He’s got degrees from Queen’s College, Cambridge and University College London in Economics and Computer Science.

He then spent several years consulting in the fields of regulatory economics, specialising in statistical analysis and computer modelling - until the lure of the internet and digital media industry proved too strong to resist.

Roger spent seven years with Oyster Partners, one of London’s top interactive agencies, producing CD-ROMs and websites for blue-chip clients, before joining Conosco in 2004.

Nguyen Hoang

Financial Controller

Our resident bean counter, Nguyen is our money man and a fully paid up ACCA member.

Nguyen was introduced to the world of numbers as an integral part of the European Finance department at legendary skateboarding brand Vans.

He turned down the opportunity to work in their new offices in Lugano and joined the Conosco team in 2006.

Since then he has been whipping our finances into shape and continues to ensure Conosco is ready bite back at the Credit Crunch™.

For years now, an unknown question remains within Conosco; what is easier - getting past our firewalls? or getting an unauthorised expense claim past Nguyen?

Luke Morris

Support Manager

Luke began his career selling computers but soon decided he would rather be involved in a more technical role getting to grips with their inner workings.

Having spent several years working in the IT departments of large corporate firms such as Dixons Stores Group and Capgemini, Luke was ready for a new challenge and in 2006 found the perfect opportunity at Conosco.

Joining a new, young company, Luke was able to bring his experience from his previous jobs and mould the Conosco Support Desk into an operation that can deliver the highest quality of service.

Of course, Luke will tell you that this is an ongoing process and that he is always looking to make improvements to ensure our customers always get the swiftest and best support possible.

Noel Thompson

Systems Manager

Noel started out life as a trainee tobacco farmer in Zimbabwe, but was not big on being up before the birds on cold winter mornings in Wedza.

As a result he decided to pursue his other interest “computers” and went to college in Harare.

As a result Noel has now been in the IT industry for 14 years, working for ISP’s for a number of years and then moving into IT outsourcing.

In the outsourcing industry Noel has worked as a Service Desk Manager at CCT Systems, and more recently as Engineering Manager at Wavex.

The chance to be involved with driving the back-end technology for the business, is what made Noel’s mind up to leave Wavex for Conosco.

Many IT companies talk about monitoring and back-end Software, but rarely do they have departments dedicated to working on and improving this.
